Clinical and Education - Meet Our Team


Jerri has been with Champion EMS since 2011. Prior to this she worked with Champion EMS during their transition period while functioning in a dual role at Good Shepherd Medical Center as Trauma Coordinator and Interim Director of Operations fo ground operations.Jerri began her career as a volunteer firefighter riding as a first responder on many calls and later attended nursing school beginning her nursing career at Good Shepherd Medical Center in 1995. Jerri has worked as an RN in the ICU and the Emergency Department over the years, including serving as the Trauma Program Manager for 6 years during which time GSMC obtained its Level II Trauma Center designation. She has years of experience in management and in education the years, assisting with both community and nursing education. She also worked on community education regarding injury prevention. She is a PALS, TNCC, CPR, ACLS, and PEPP Instructor.

Dr. Dunnahoo graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 1998.  While at Texas A&M, he served with Texas A&M University EMS from 1995-1997. He then attended and received his Medical Doctorate from UT Southwestern Medical School. Upon completion of Medical School, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  After residency, he served as both Clinical Instructor and Chief Resident for the Department of Emergency Medicine.  In 2006, he joined Leading Edge Medical Associates and is now a Partner in the group.  In 2007, he became Medical Director for Champion EMS.  Dr. Dunnahoo is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and EMS Medicine.  He is a Fellow of both The American Academy of Emergency Medicine and The American College of Emergency Physicians.  In 2015, he completed his Master of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.  He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine for both LSU Shreveport and UT Health Science Center at Tyler.
